Il grigio dopo i 40, senza regole inutili
Ci sono colori che non hanno bisogno di alzare la voce. Il grigio è uno di questi.
Sobrio, sofisticato, quasi architettonico, ha una qualità che apprezzo sempre di più: lascia spazio alla persona. Non entra nella stanza prima di noi, non impone un’immagine. Accompagna.
Per questo Look of the Day ho scelto un grigio antracite morbido, contemporaneo, con volumi rilassati e una silhouette che non cerca di dimostrare nulla.
La nuova eleganza è sentirsi bene
Indosso una taglia M, la mia taglia, e la vestibilità è perfettamente morbida: fluida, comoda, mai larga.
È una distinzione importante.
Perché vestirsi bene non significa costringere il corpo dentro una forma, ma trovare una forma che sappia accompagnarlo. Il risultato deve sembrare naturale, anche quando dietro c’è una scelta precisa di proporzioni, volumi e sovrapposizioni.
La comodità, quando è pensata bene, può essere estremamente elegante.
Grigio e nero: il contrasto essenziale
Al completo ho aggiunto una giacca nera.
Niente di complicato, e proprio per questo funziona.
Il nero dà struttura, il grigio ammorbidisce l’insieme. Uno definisce, l’altro lascia respirare. È un abbinamento che non ha bisogno di stagione, età o occasione particolare.
E soprattutto permette di cambiare carattere al look semplicemente intervenendo sugli accessori.
Dopo i 40 non serve vestirsi “da 40”
Questa è forse la parte che mi interessa di più.
Non credo nella moda che assegna un guardaroba a ogni età. Non credo che a un certo punto si debba diventare improvvisamente più serie, più discrete o più prevedibili.
Credo invece che con il tempo impariamo qualcosa di molto più utile: cosa ci somiglia davvero.
Il look è di Overground, ma qui il marchio è solo il punto di partenza. Quello che conta è come un capo entra nella nostra vita, come lo interpretiamo e soprattutto come ci fa sentire.
Lo stile non dovrebbe mai sembrare uno sforzo. Dovrebbe sembrare una parte di noi.
Il dettaglio che fa la differenza
Un outfit riuscito, per me, non è quello che chiede attenzione continuamente.
È quello che indosso e poi quasi dimentico.
Posso muovermi, lavorare, parlare, vivere la giornata senza aggiustare continuamente una manica, una cintura, una proporzione. Eppure, quando mi guardo allo specchio, tutto è al posto giusto.
Forse è questa la mia idea di eleganza oggi: meno costruzione, più presenza.
E il grigio, in questo, è un alleato perfetto.

Grey after 40, without unnecessary rules
Some colours do not need to raise their voice. Grey is one of them.
Understated, sophisticated, almost architectural, it has a quality I appreciate more and more: it leaves room for the person. It does not enter the room before we do, and it does not impose an image. It accompanies us.
For this Look of the Day I chose a soft charcoal grey, contemporary and relaxed, with easy volumes and a silhouette that has nothing to prove.
The new elegance is feeling good
I am wearing a size M, my usual size, and the fit is perfectly relaxed: fluid, comfortable, never oversized.
That distinction matters.
Because dressing well does not mean forcing the body into a shape, but finding a shape that knows how to move with it. The result should feel natural, even when there is a precise choice of proportions, volumes and layering behind it.
Comfort, when it is well considered, can be extremely elegant.
Grey and black: the essential contrast
I added a black jacket to the outfit.
Nothing complicated, and that is exactly why it works.
Black gives structure, while grey softens the whole look. One defines, the other lets it breathe. It is a combination that does not need a particular season, age or occasion.
And above all, it lets you change the character of the look simply by changing the accessories.
After 40, you do not need to dress “for 40”
This is perhaps the part that interests me most.
I do not believe in fashion that assigns a wardrobe to every age. I do not believe that at a certain point we suddenly need to become more serious, more discreet or more predictable.
I believe instead that, with time, we learn something far more useful: what really feels like us.
The look is by Overground, but here the brand is only the starting point. What matters is how a piece enters our life, how we interpret it and, above all, how it makes us feel.
Style should never look like an effort. It should look like part of who we are.
The detail that makes the difference
For me, a successful outfit is not one that constantly demands attention.
It is the one I put on and almost forget about.
I can move, work, talk and live my day without constantly adjusting a sleeve, a belt or a proportion. And yet, when I look in the mirror, everything is exactly where it should be.
Perhaps that is my idea of elegance today: less construction, more presence.
And grey is a perfect ally in that.
